Code Enforcement

The Mountain View City Council develops regulations, known as City Code. A limited subset of these regulations are enforced by the police department:

Abandoned vehicles on public streets (650-903-6358)
Illegal parking on public streets (650-903-6146)
Barking dogs (650-903-6395)
Animal cruelty or neglect (650-903-6395)
Permits and licenses: alarms, block parties, dance, massage, etc.

on public streets (650-903-6358) Other city codes are enforced by the City Code Enforcement unit, the Fire Department, Community Development and Palo Alto Animal Control (on contract to Mountain View).
